The Richmond Metropolitan Chapter's goal is "to mentor
and lead the multicultural community and our corporate partners in
professional, entrepreneurial, and educational development".
MISSION
As a professional membership organization of Black and
African American graduates with MBAs, advanced degrees, and
entrepreneurs, the mission of the NBMBAA is to increase the number as
well as the diversity of successful Blacks and African Americans in the
business community by:

Providing innovative programs to stimulate their
intellectual and economic growth

Building partnerships with key stakeholders who help
facilitate this growth

Increasing awareness and facilitating access to
graduate management education programs and career opportunities in
management fields

Developing the pipeline of youth by providing a
framework to deploy business practices
VISION
The NBMBAA’s vision is to be an organization which
leads in the creation of economic and intellectual wealth for Blacks and
African Americans.
The Richmond Chapter of the National Black MBA
Association was chartered on February 19, 2000 by a vote of the National
Board of Directors in Chicago, Illinois.
The Richmond Metropolitan Chapter is the 39th Chapter of the National
Black MBA Association and has over 70 members who are entrepreneurs, and
employees of both the public and private sectors of Richmond and the
surrounding communities.
The core strategies by which we operate are focused on career and
professional development, community service, collaborative partnerships
with local businesses, and education, specifically targeted at the
intellectual development of our youth.
